In the latest of their rockstar collaborations, KEEP Shoes had amp rock genius J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. design a shoe with the detail of his guitar strap down the back. The shoes came with a single that has a cover of Mazzy Star‘s “Fade Into You”. It keeps the same melancholy mood, but J brings more dusty, country wisdom and pain to the song, similar to when Johnny Cash covered Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt” (except not near as heartbreakingly painful to listen to).
